PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

FX Semi_Transparent Decorative Stains are a great alternative to acid staining. Since no chemical reaction is taking place, there is no extended waiting time for color penetration, so NO NEED TO NEUTRALIZE. With this advanced formulation, it allows color to reach full potential almost immediately upon application. Color may be built up without the worry of damaging of the concrete as with acid stain. Numerous coats can be applied instantly, no need to apply then with an extended period of time. Apply Classic Coatings Systems Sealer over the stain to make it pop & become more vibrant. Keep that in mind when determinig color potential. It is highly recommended to test a sample area first.

Typical Uses

Classic FX stain- Stain used in a wide range of environments, both interior and exterior, on any cementitious surface, whether it be gray or color harden concrete, stamped or textured concrete, micro- toppings or overlays. It can be used as an entire surface colorant or just as an accent border or detail. It may be used on both new and existing substrates. Classic FX stain is typically used as flooring in restaurants and food service areas, bars, hotels, casino’s, retail stores, malls, art studios, movie theaters, museums, pool decks, automobile showrooms, residential flooring, basically anywhere architectural concrete is desired. Classic FX stain may also be used as a means to color poured in place concrete, tilt up wall, stone face plaster, GFRC and Faux rock. Some projects are application specific, so be assured to do a mock up first prior to starting any project. The stain will be completely effective if the existing concrete is new, worn and old, previously. The benefit to resurfacing is to provide a virgin canvas without the effect of patches, repairs, existing stains, mastics, glues, and oils.

What about uniform color? Because concrete is not uniform, the reaction is like an acid stain, therefore the color is more uniform. Even if some areas are lighter than others. New concrete must cure for 28 days before staining or sealing.
