A) Composition
Classic W/b stain-is a single component coloring solution of water base, which when placed on the surface allows the stain to bond and penetration to the surface. The resulting effect creates a colored translucent or more solid, variegated and sometimes marbleized effect when using two colors. For example Considerable variations in color and tone normally result from the use of Classic custom w/b stain. Many special color effects may be achieved by using two or more colors and different application techniques.

B) Typical Uses

Classic custom w/b stain- Stain used in a wide range of environments, both interior and exterior, on any surface, whether it be gray, stamped or textured concrete, micro- toppings overlays, block walls and even on bricks. It can be used as an entire surface colorant or just as an accent border or detail. It may be used on both new and existing substrates.
Classic custom w/b stain is typically used as flooring in restaurants and food service areas, bars, hotels, casino’s, retail stores, malls, art studios, movie theaters, museums, pool decks, automobile showrooms, residential flooring, basically anywhere architectural concrete is desired. Classic custom w/b stain may also be used as a means to color poured in place concrete, tilt up wall, stone face plaster, GFRC and Faux rock. Some projects are application specific, so be assured to do a mock up first prior to starting any project.
The stain will be effective if the existing concrete is new, worn and old, previously has been washed with acid. The benefit to resurfacing is to provide a virgin canvas without the effect of patches, repairs, existing stains, mastics, glues, oils, etc
What about uniform color? Because concrete is not uniform, the reaction is more uniform than acid stain, therefore the color is more uniform. Even if some areas are slightly lighter than others. Colors come in 1 & 5 gallon plus 55 gallon drum. New concrete must cure for 28 days before staining or sealing.
